Silappadhikaram - Dharmam will come as Yama - அரசியல் பிழைத்தோற்கு அறம் கூற்றாகும் - How?

If you do adharma that will echo immediately in this kali period. A dharma is the one which will give good life to everyone. But, in politics the same dharma turns the one as lifeless. I am seeing this contradictory. can you please explain? In his book Silappadhikaram, Elango Adigalar says that those who enjoyed the politics in an ulterior motive the dharma itself go against and invite Yamadharma to them.
