Is boarding school a good option for me, considering my current position?

I attend a public high school, and I understand how you feel. I really think it depends on whether your family can afford to send you to a boarding school, by your mothers reaction it seems as though you may have trouble financially supporting a high tuition fee that boarding school requires. Also, you should realize that many boarding schools are just places for rich kids to get away from their parents and/or a place for parents to send kids away when they don't wish to parent 24/7. Although it seems stereotypical it's true, although their are some good boarding schools. No matter what you decide, school will be how you make it. Even if you stay where you feel it is easy, it doesn't mean you don't have to try your hardest. Ask for extra credit assignments, put extra efforts into your work, challenge yourself to learn one new thing every month. May be take some online classes, they are cheap and can often offer a good selection of challenging material. No matter where you go, give it your all. Good luck!
